My second letter to my son

To my son

It is already one year since you have left the high school when I wrote you my first letter.

You look so much stressed at this tender age. I presume the cause of your strain is the coming JEE MAIN.
And you are in a hurry to clear it in this year itself. That is the prescribed meaning of success in your society.

On the other hand, if you were to relax a bit, enjoy the journey, and balance your life along the way, let’s say it may take two more years. ( I presume that is the maximum number of chances allowed.)

Would you rather qualify in this year with much worry, stress, problems, craziness, sickness, pressure and unhappiness all along the way, or would you rather take one more year to achieve that and thoroughly enjoy and love those 3 school years ?

Which path sounds like a greater success story to you?

( Not to your relatives or society. They are never the part of your journey. They are the emotional bystanders who give the musical support to our journey.)

How will your mind perform if you are completely relaxed and not pressured every minute to achieve this target in the shortest time possible?

The Ego ( I alone can ) wouldn’t have much of a job at all, as its primary job is to find fear around every corner.

Son, if you can study without the pressure to perform, I bet you will perform better. Without interference from the Ego, your Higher Self can begin to assert your natural, harmonious connection to the universe effortlessly. When you get into the habit of not allowing guilt, anxiety or pressure to control your thoughts, emotions, and actions, the whole universe conspires to give you success. That is called the indian Yogic power. Your success will be guaranteed then.

Whatever it is you’re striving for in life, don’t be the doer ! Yes, you have to do your part, but you don’t have to figure out every single thing affecting result on your own. There is a kind, supportive essence in this universe that wants to see you and me and everyone be prosperous and successful. Its sole purpose is to support whatever it is we create with our thoughts and actions.

So what’s the secret of tapping into this source of unlimited potential? In other words, what’s the secret of being successful?
Practice. Patience and Perseverence.

  • You must Practice both.
    • 1.Trying to be successful
    • 2.Trying to be happy all the way.

The means must justify the end also.

Practice being appreciative, joyful, light, calm, confident, centered, beautiful, smiling and knowing. These are attributes of the higher self.
And this is “The Simplest Formula for Success”.

The blessings of nature bestows on everyone, and it will come to you in due course.

Don’t get worries.

Don’t be in a hurry.

The blessings of nature bestows on everyone

So Son…take a nice, deep breath. Do your best. And wait.
Allow the universe to handle the timing of your ultimate success.

Be confident that it will work out.
But first-
1) Take your ego ( =I must ) which usually entails unnecessary strife, anxiety, impatience, and worry.
2) Act, act in the living present, heart within and God over head.
3) And you’re going to enjoy every step along the way, as long as you allow happiness in your routine.

This is the ‘Nishkama Karma of Karmayoga described in the cant 2/47 of ‘the Gita’.
