  • Death reported till date 623,283
  • In spite of vaccination of more than 50% of US population
    • Daily Deaths are   up 97%,
    • Daily Hospitalisation up 54% over 14 days
  • Delta cases make up more than 98.8% of Covid cases in the US.
  • A booster dose has been proposed to prevent the Delta spread.
  • All Nursing home staff need to be vaccinated failing which, these will lose medicaid and medicare funding.

  • Covid Vaccines are effective against Delta variant though they cannot prevent spread of disease.
  • You can catch Covid-19 twice. It seems to be milder in the second episode.
  • US health officials have announced booster shots from September for all US citizens after 8 month of the 2nd dose.
  • Effectiveness of both Pfizer and Moderna Vaccine is found to wear off in 8 months.
