LAMBORGHINI

A grape farmer Ferruccio had a knack for machines. He tried his hand in repurposing his tractors into passeger cars.

Post-world-war-agriculture-needs had brought his tractor business into wealth and success. He did what many middle-aged rich men dreamt of in 1958. He bought his first Ferrari – the symbol of automotive excellence.

Ferrari started in 1933, is renowned for its sleek designs, powerful engines, and unparalleled performance. Founded by Enzo Ferrari, the company has become synonymous with luxury sports cars and a rich racing history. Their iconic designs, powerful engines, and unparalleled driving experiences have captivated enthusiasts worldwide for generations. Ferrari’s legacy continues to inspire and shape the automotive industry, solidifying its position as a timeless symbol of automotive excellence.

But Ferruccio found his Ferrari to be tard noisy and rough, and it had an inferior clutch that often needed repairing.

So Ferruccio Lamborghini took his complaints about his Ferrari all the way to Enzo Ferrari the owner. Enzo was not amused with the advice from a youngish trukker for the most coveted car of the world. He also didn’t exactly appreciate being given technical notes from a young tractor manufacturer.

A tractor manufacturer giving advises to the number one car maker of the world. Enzo was a busy man. he had no time for this tractor man. He simply shooed him away

Driven by Enzo’s insult, Ferruccio got to work alone designing his own car, and in just 4 months unveiled 350 GTV at the Turin Motor Show in October 1963. By the end of 1964 Ferrucio sold his first 13 cars although at a loss to keep prices competitive with Ferrari.

The car created by the humble tractor manufacturer gave a run of money to Ferari. It was the LAMBROGHINI.

Today, Lamborghini cars are often described as raw and powerful. They offer a more visceral driving experience, with a focus on acceleration and straight-line speed. They have wiped out the Ferrari among the younger and flamboyant audience.

It took only 6 years.

It was worth it.
