• The Delta variant increases hospitalisation twice more among the unvaccinated.
• Vaccinated persons can transmit the virus to others but it is far less than among the unvaccinated.
• The incidence of blood clotting side effect of Astra Zeneca ( Covishield) vaccine is much less than that occurs among all other covid cases.
• While more kids are getting Delta, they’re NOT getting more sick. Because immunity to fight a respiratory virus is highest in childhood. it wanes with increase of age.
• Delta infection among children is 10 to 15 times higher, but rate of of hospitalisation is 2% of the positive cases. This rate sharply increases after 18 years.
• The Overall immunity lasts 6-8 month.
