• While more kids are getting Delta, they’re NOT getting more sick.
• Delta infection among children is 10 to 15 times higher, but rate of of hospitalisation is 2% of the positive cases. This rate sharply increases after 18 years.
• Why does the rate of hospitalisation 6 months after getting full vaccination in UK is lower than US and Israel ? US,Israel used onlyPfizer while UK used both Pfizer and Astra.
• While Pfizer vaccine gives better short term immunity, Astra Zeneca vaccine gives better long term protection. The protection conferred by Pfizer vaccine against Delta reduces from 88% to 74% while Astra reduces from 77% to 67%
• The Overall immunity lasts 6-8 month.

• Achieving a Zero Case Number in Covid-19 is a fiction.
• Vaccinating 100% of our population is a fiction.
• Zoonoses like Covid-19, Bird flu cannot be fully eradicated from the face of the earth. They are so unlike Small Pox and Poliomyelitis. Zoonoses would continue to emerge and reemerge. covid-19 is and will not be the last pandemic that we are going to encounter. We should develop solid mechanisms to predict their next advent instead.
