“Dare to be yourself”

Bhagvad Gita Ch 6, Verse 5

In english transliteration, it reads-

  • “uddhared ātmanātmānaṁ
    • nātmānam avasādayet
  • atmaiva hyātmano bandhur
    • atmaiva ripur ātmanaḥ”

उद्धरेदात्मनात्मानं नात्मानमवसादयेत् |

आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मन: || 5||

If we replace atma with you, it reads something like this –

You can only be your friend.

Or

You can choose yourself to be your enemy.

Dare to be.

-1-

Where are you right now ?

“You’ve put yourself where you are today.

Only you can take yourself out of it.

Where are you right now ?”

…..Dare to be Yourself.

-2-

You can only be your friend.

Or

you can choose yourself to be your enemy.

…..Dare to be.

“Either you’re too busy Dying
Or
….you’re too busy Living.”

( loosely translated)

-3-

“Either you’re too busy dying,

Or, You’re too busy living.

Where are you today ?”

….Dare to be Yourself.
