Once upon a time, Tata has to produce tea or manufacture the car before selling. At least that was the norm.But today all the big companies are platforms, Google, Facebook, Amazon etc.

Today Platforms are more important than the products.

Co-WIN – Vaccine Delivery management System is the biggest platforms of them all.

The vaccination platform will cover 30 crore humans, one crore health care, two crore front line workers and 27 crore high risk population. It will engage two lakh vaccinators, and 3.7 lakh support staff. This will be world’s largest vaccination programme.

It will also recruit 61000 programme managers who are basically IT managers. This is a first time integration of IT delivery system with our immunisation programme.

Co-WIN Vaccine Delivery Management System will integrate information of vaccine stock, their storage temperature, individual beneficiary tracking, automated session allocation, message to beneficiaries, and generation of digital certificates in a real time basis.

The vaccinators, Mobilisers, security staff, support staff will be linked to each vaccination session. Beneficiaries will be linked to this session. Auto generated SMS/Email intimations will reach each linked person.

The stock position of vaccines, supply chain is linked to the platform.

The cold chain system and the real time temperature maintenance is also linked to this platform.

East coast railway status

On behalf of the East Coast Railway we have uploaded the name and details of all the medical staff in our railway in this platform. 45 items of information  against each name.

It is almost one month that staff have shared their names, addresses, photo IDs to us. Now they have the logical question to us, “When shall I get vaccinated ?” 

In two days the vaccination will start. Our doctors also want to know when this vaccine will reach our hospital ?

Actually we don’t know. Practically no vaccinator has seen a single vaccine vial. He doesn’t know which centre will he be allotted. Neither the candidate knows which centre he would have to attend.

Only COWIN has the answer.

COWIN, the vaccine delivery management system platform will integrate 3 databases. 1- The beneficiary list as uploaded from all over India. 2- The vaccine stock and its storage temperature . 3- Allotment of vaccination session.

A vaccination session will be scheduled in each vaccination centre.( It may or may not be a railway hospital.) Certain number of beneficiary will be allotted to that centre as per the address uploaded. Your PIN code will decide your centre. The date, time and venue name will be sent to the registered mobiles. 

Once in the allotted centre your photo ID as uploaded will be verified. Vaccine will be injected and a confirmatory message will be sent to your registered mobile.

When you will complete the two doses schedule, you can down load a digital certificate from your registered mobile. 

India will launch its Covid-19 vaccination drive from 16 January, 2021. 

Come 16th of January, this will be the greatest show on this earth.
