From the Ladder to the Mosaic pattern.
The Ladder
Gone were the days, when one must specialise in one subject alone. You must climb higher and higher the ladder of only one skill-set and distance yourself away from everything else. At least in the past you are restricted to your field of excellence. So even if you change your organization, you still stick to the field of your speciality.

The Mosaic pattern.
Those days are gone. Today the pattern is changing. A culinary expert not only hones his cooking skill but he also writes a cook book, and performs a master chef TV show.
Only excelling in pan, stove, oil and masala won’t do. You must be a writer as well. The days of ghost writing is gone. The gift of gab of Sanjiv Kapoor has made him the master chef whom we admire today.
Present day doctors not ony operate, but they also participate in TV shows with witty remark and cinematic presence.
Look at our star singers in the popular “Indian Idol” TV show. Singing alone is not enough. The charisma of a recluse Lata Mangeshkar is gone. Even the Rushis, and Sadgurus of our time must come on stage and participate in political debates and entertain you with their story telling power.
Summary:
These are the days of showmanship. Those days when you have to travel in a Bullock cart for 2 days to get an appointment of that famous astrologer is gone. The adage of Once upon a time, “The more inaccessible you are, the greater is the fame,” is outdated.
Today, a famous doctor, Astrologer must have a web site, should have few FB, TV shows in his name.
He must be camera savvy and should have a stock of witty repartee.
It’s a mosaic of Astrology, Cinematic presence, Quick wit and technology savviness that matters Today.
Ladder is gone.
