How long one should sleep everyday ?

It is wrong.
Some of us are morning Lark, some are incredible night owls. Some are natural short sleepers, some require long sleep hours.
A small clock inside our brain decides whether I may sleep for 2 hours a day and still be fresh and you would sleep like a log of wood for 10 hours every day.
The biological Clock.
Neurologist call it the suprachiasmatic nucleus.

Every day it generates two dolls: Per and Cry. They go on dancing together till they annihilate each other.
It takes exactly 24 hours. That is one cycle and one day for us. This goes on repeating throughout our life time.
The Circadian Rhythm.
Everything in our body, our sleep pattern, hormone secretion, BP and sugar level fluctuates in our body rhythmically because of their cosmic dance.
The morning Larks sleep early and wake up early, the night Owls may not sleep till 2 am. Margaret Thatcher, Winston Churchill may sleep for 2 hours in night still be fresh for their morning meetings.
